The most dynamic of the Dolphin Discovery programs, the Royal Swim allows you to experience the magic of swimming with dolphins while you perform exhilarating behaviors with them.
Following a brief orientation during which a Dolphin Discovery trainer will teach you about these amazing animals, you will get into the water to live this unique "Experience of a Lifetime."
The Royal Swim Program excitement starts with a swim-by, the a a very special "kiss" and on to demonstration of several different behaviors including the "Foot Push", where the dolphins will push you through the water just like Superman; the "Dorsal Tow", where you will have the chance to be pulled across the water surface by two dolphins, the "Hurdle Jump" and the finally "Free Time", where you can interact freely with the two Atlantic Bottle-nosed dolphins as you would like.
Dolphin Discovery Cozumel is located in Chankanaab National Marine Park. As well as offering world class diving and snorkeling, this beautiful park houses our sea lion show, a botanical garden, reproductions of famous archeological sites, a typical Mayan village, an underground river, a tropical lagoon teeming with brightly colored tropical fish, restaurants and bars, and a dive shop. You will definitely want to allow time to enjoy the park either before or after your dolphin activity. |

GETTING THERE FROM COZUMEL:
Take the ferry from the downtown pier (Muelle Fiscal) across to Playa del Carmen - approx 40 minutes - $11 USD OW then a taxi to PUERTO AVENTURAS MARINA - DOLPHIN DISCOVERY - approx 15-20 minutes. Present your confirmation along with your payment and you will be set. Please check in 30 minutes prior to your activity time. |

Children under 8 years old OR less than 4 ft. tall are not accepted in the swim program, children 8-11 years old AND more than 4 ft. tall may participate if accompanied by a paying adult. Limit of 8 - 10 persons per platform with 2 dolphins.
Health:
Pregnant women may not participate in any of the dolphin or sea lion programs.
All dolphin activities are safe and interactive but require physical involvement by participants.
Participants should be in good general health and able to understand and follow directions as given by the dolphin trainers.
Those who have undergone an recent surgery or suffer from any condition that may limit them physically (i.e. back surgery) should check with their physician before proceeding to make a reservation. |

Secondly, we did the Royal Dolphin Swim with Dorie and Belle, and it was the most AWESOME time of our lives. My daughter, 13 did the dolphin swim and it was the best time of her life.. up close and personal with scarlet.. the pictures were beautiful and the video wonderful.. this was a once in a life time event that she will remember for her entire life... well worth the 99.00 and the additional 75.00 for pics and video coverage.. if you can afford to do this, this is not to be missed.. it was the highlight of the entire vacation... go and have fun, well worth the cost and a lot of fun to be had. WONDERFUL TIME....

I just wanted to take a minute now that I am home to tell you how much we enjoyed the park and all the activities you helped me set up. The sea lion swim was amazing and the show following was really enjoyable. The dolphin swim didn't work out for all of us but we are planning to do the Disney cruise again one day and we will be back for sure.
