Take these underwater photography instruction classes here in Cozumel, and then test some new skills on one of the most rewarding - and demanding - reef systems in the world. Cozumel offers the photographer a chance to train in dynamic, drift diving conditions. If you can do it here - you can do it anywhere! Intended for the beginner, these courses cover the complete range of skills and knowledge one needs, backed up with real world experience and examples. The objective is to save participants wasted dives, money, and shots, by helping students avoid learning the hard way. The classroom setting is a beautiful Mexican villa with a lush tropical garden and a fountain in the courtyard. The focused, classroom only, teaching approach gives students the freedom to dive with the operator of their choice, or an operator is happily recommended.
After completing Part 1 of "Underwater Photography – A Comprehensive Introduction," students can then take their knowledge to the reef, and begin practicing underwater photography skills immediately in the real world diving environment. After a few dives and photos taken on their own, students may wish to return to the classroom for Part 2, covering photo evaluation, and a lesson in using the modern digital darkroom to improve their shots.
COURSE DETAILS
Part 1 – Getting the Shots: 5 hours of instruction covering all aspects of the underwater photographic process – from pre-dive preparations to post-dive equipment cleaning.
Part 2 - Photo Evaluation and the Digital Darkroom: 4 hours of photo assessment, and training on how to improve your shots using modern techniques.
Flexible scheduling lets students set the pace. There is NO requirement to complete both sessions the same day. Please note: Part 2 - may be booked separately, but it is strongly suggested that Part 1 be completed first, as that material is outside the scope of Part 2. |
