Mayan Rivera Dolphin & Sea Life Activities Cruise passengers or hotel guests visiting Riviera Maya area of Mexico can now enjoy several fun filled dolphin, manatee or sea lion interaction experiences. Visitors to Puerto Morelos, Playa del Carmen, Akumal and Tulum can now reserve space at the dolphin park nearby on the mainland rather than crossing over to visit the dolphin arena on Cozumel Island. Cruise passengers disembarking at Calica or Playa del Carmen have a quick 15 minute taxi ride to reach the mainland dolphin and sea life park. We booked through Cozumel Insider because the ship didn't offer the Royal Dolphin Swim and also because prices were cheaper than booking on board. The inexpensive taxi ride was better than taking a bus and being on someone else's schedule for the day. Chankanaub is a beautiful park and a great way to spend time in Cozumel!
