Finding Your Way

Mapping's "a natural" for the Internet, and there are many resources available to help us find our way. A newcomer to mapping is Google, with their Beta release of Google Maps. You can now use Google Maps to find a specific address, perform a USA local search ('pizza' and my local zip code turned up a map with 10 restaurants within 5 miles), or to get point-to-point driving directions. I especially like the way you can click and drag the map image around. But for now, Google's maps appear to be limited to North America.

Other notable mapping resources, which all offer broader International mapping, include MapQuest, MSN, and Multimap.

Become Part of the US Trusted Traveler Program

Tired of long Immigration lines and missed flight connections when returning to the US from foreign travel?

Forget the long lines with GOES! If the thought of those long immigration lines or missed flight connections are holding you back from foreign travel, consider applying for the GOES Trusted traveler program. This 5 year pilot program gives approved travellers a direct ticket to the automated "fast lane" kiosk at the Immigration checkpoints of most major US airports.

Entry
Global Entry is a new pilot program managed by U.S. Customs and Border Protection which allows pre-approved, low-risk travelers expedited clearance upon arrival into the United States. Participants enter the United States by utilizing automated kiosks located, at designated airports. Although the program is intended for “frequent travelers” who make several international trips per year, there is no minimum number of trips an applicant must make in order to qualify. Participants may enter the United States by utilizing these automated kiosks located, at most all major airports now and seldom is there ever a line or delay in clearing Immigration.

In addition to more rapid Immigration clearance, another benefit of the trusted traveler program is the expedited Customs clearance line for the luggage of participants upon returning to the USA from abroad. Trusted traveler participants also enjoy a seperate airport security screening clearance line when departing on DOMESTIC flights.

GOES is your ticket to US Immigration Are the Benefits of Global Entry?

  • Bypass the traditional passport control line.
  • No more filling out a paper customs declaration form.
  • Expedited exit process.
  • Mutual benefits with other countries.
  • Conveniently located at airports throughout the country.
  • Cross the border with a minimum of customs and immigration questioning.
  • Bypass the traditional Customs luggage clearance line
  • Bypass the traditional Airport Security Screening line on DOMESTIC flights

Global Entry allows applicants to complete a single application and pay one fee. This form can be submitted online via the Global Online Enrollment System (GOES. Qualified applicants are required to come to a Global Entry Enrollment Center, for an interview). Global Entry allows United States border agencies to concentrate their efforts on potentially higher-risk travelers and goods, which helps to ensure the security and integrity of our borders.

Hello Sherri ~ I met you back in 2001 (12 years ago!) when my husband and I along with another couple were involved in a wreck and you were behind us and helped us out as to our rights in the matter. A motorcycle ran into the side of us pretty bad if you recall. I believe you said you lived in Addison, Texas like us. I have booked a trip and will be in Cozumel next Tuesday. Any recommendation on vehicle rental you can suggest for me? LATER: My date and I had a blast in Cozumel. He loved the island. It was a very short trip. I am including a photo of us on the cruise. He would like to go back and stay for a few days at your place. Hope you are doing good, please keep in touch. C Bronstad ~ San Antonio, TX

What a great Experience!!! We booked our excursions through this website with a slight bit of apprehension. We figured it would be safer to book through our cruise ship since this was our first time going to Cozumel. Boy am I so thankful we didn't. Our cruise ship (which we thoroughly enjoyed) had many excursions organized with tons of people in each excursion. By booking through INSIDER we were definitely given smaller groups to be with. We did the Atlantis Submarine excursion and we saved almost 100 dollars right there!!! We also booked a Resort Scuba with Eagle Ray Divers. We had 1-on-1 attention with Antonio (the owner), our own boat to go out on, and got personalized attention with the lesson/dive. I know if we had booked on the cruise ship there probably would've been many other people ...
Also, we originally booked a car rental for that Saturday morning. Jacqueline @ Cozumel Insider, called us at home prior to our cruise to inform us of some minor scheduling changes. She then suggested that the rental car may not be neccessary due to our number of excursions and our limited time. Due to her advice we cancelled our car rental which was the wise thing to do. This shows that this company has a lot of integrity and is not out there just to make a buck on the unsuspecting tourist. Next year we will definitely book through Cozumel Insider, we will recommend this company to all our friends, and we plan on booking with Antonio for more scuba next time!!!! Just returned from Cozumel where we participated in the FP&M Turtle Salvation program and it was the highlight of our trip. Our guides picked us up at our hotel right on time. They were very nice and one spoke fantastic English. Being able to participate in the extraction of newly hatched baby sea turtles from their nests and then watching them scurry into the ocean was so amazing. There were 4 nests hatching that evening so we were interacting with baby turtles for several hours. Those little turtles are SO adorable and so VERY determined to get to the water. This activity exceeded our expectations. I would recommend it to anyone who loves nature and wants to help this endangered species. It is awesome that cozumelinsider.com donates its resources to handle the bookings for this activity to help raise funds for this great cause. Thanks for an awesome experience! T. Daily ~ Arizona

A big thanks to COZUMELINSIDER for all your help booking my two trips! The Eagle Ray 3 reef snorkel was fantastic! It was a small group tour of 8 people with very very great personal service. I highly recommend this tour to all. My other tour was a tour of a lifetime, the Whale shark tour with Gamma Experience It was really something being in the water with a 50-60 foot whale shark! A couple restaurants I highly recommend are La lobsteria and especially Tony Romes. I highly recommend Cozumelinsider to all in booking tours as they picked great small tour groups for me!
