Another great holiday at IslaMar and the island! As always it is hard to leave. Thanks to Sherri, Jacqueline and all the staff at IslaMar and Palamar Beach Club. Take care and see you next year! Blair & Cheryl S. ~ Lethbridge, Alberta Canada

(01/02/2016) - IslaMar is a great place set back from the beachfront and big resorts. It is living in Mexico, if you get my drift. IslaMar is back perhaps 6 or 7 blocks from the resorts. We wanted something different this time. I loved being back with the local vibe. There are restaurants with amazing food back here. You walk to them. We walked at night through the narrow streets and visited with the friendly people. We felt safe. I'm not telling you what to do, I'm just telling you what we did. We also rented a small car and went to the beach every day. We found our dollars went a long ways in the grocery store. No place is too far away on Cozumel. Christmas Night we wandered into a park with an amphitheater. There was a clown performing. There were perhaps 200 locals there and we saw one other gringo. I loved being there and watching these beautiful people. They all seemed glad to see us. Is it for everybody? Probly not. There is a nice little clean pool, but nobody is going to bring you a margarita. If you have a hankering for fries at midnight, not going to happen. If you are set on a resort, this is not your place. But If you want to stay in a beautiful affordable villa with super cleaning and other services and run by great folks in the middle of town, you should try this. I love it and can't wait to go back! The new pool is even better! Great new additions!!! Thank for the use of the phone. We love this place. See you next year. Mike P. & Guy G. ~ Boulder, CO

Very nice home base for our diving vacation! Nice villa, enjoyed our neighbors, hearing the roosters crow and relaxing in the hammock. Wish we knew more Spanish so we could talk more with lovely Zuri and others in town. Loved being greeted at the airport! Next Time, we'd like to check out the Beach Club! Thank you!!! Bret & Debbi C. ~ Parker, CO

My family and I have returned to Cozumel many times - it's a favorite destination and we have watched it change over the past 20 years. The Cozumel Insider is a great publication - it's a wonderful way to keep up with the news about one of our favorite islands. We are preparing to visit again this August and the Insider has shown us some different activities to try, as well as helped to bring us up to date with local political and ecological happenings. We're delighted to see the interest in wildlife conservation throughout the area. Keep up the good work on this terrific site. D. McClean ~ unknown
