Cozumel is well known world wide for our snorkeling and there are many snorkeling beach clubs on both sides of the island. But without a doubt, one (1) of the island's most beautiful, ocean-side estates is Cozumel's PalMar Snorkel Beach Club where guests are invited to spend an unforgettable day inside their lush, tropical oasis beside the freshwater pool. What makes our experience special is we are small, quiet and peaceful. It is not a massive tourist beach with hundreds of guests. When you are ready for a change of scenery from the beach club area, just take a short stroll outside the fenced and gated estate area to their private PalMar beach where you can lounge on beach chairs or walk down into the stunning Caribbean waters and experience some of the best snorkeling available in the Dzul Ha Reef area!
The management and staff at PalMar Snorkel Beach Club in Cozumel hope you will visit and spend a relaxing and peaceful day at our beach club. Be it spent poolside basking in the warm rays of the sun or venturing over to the beach where you can discover the many underwater secrets of the Caribbean by stepping into the crystal-clear turquoise waters where you can literally spend hours gazing at the colorful corals, sponges and vast variety of fish and marine life! Directions to PalMar Snorkel Beach Club
By Taxi:
PalMar Snorkel Beach Club is located just south of ALL cruise ship piers between Presidente Intercontinental Cozumel Resort & Spa and Fiesta Americana Hotel - a very short 5-10 minute ride via taxi.
It will cost US $9.00 to $11.00 per four (4) persons via taxi.
Ask the taxi driver take you to the Dzul Ha Reef beach area.
TAXIs do not want you to know about Palmar because they do not receive taxi kickbacks for delivery of guests at this location. Prices are lower for guests at this beach club for this reason!
By Rental Car:
PalMar is located south of town and past all cruise ship piers.
On the NEW main highway there is an overhead sign pointing the way to the OLD highway.
The overhead sign says "Chankanaab, Dzul Ha and Fiesta Americana Hotels".
Exit the NEW main highway to the right just where this overhead sign is and get onto the OLD highway.
You will pass the Presidente Intercontinental Cozumel Resort & Spa and go another half mile or so to the Dzul Ha Reef beach area.
If you pass the condos on your left or the Fiesta Americana Hotel, you just missed us!
Once there, you will see a "YELLOW" sign that says "PALMAR SNORKEL BEACH CLUB ~ NOW OPEN!"
You can't miss it!! I hope to see you there! - Sherri
I spent the day at Pal Mar Beach Club with my two sons. It is a marvelous place. For the first hour, we had the entire pool to ourselves, then one family joined us. It is great to be away from the cruise ship crowds at other beaches. The pool is large, and the surroundings luxurious. The beach is small, but nice, with direct access to the reefs. The food/snacks are delicious, and the price is right. I highly recommend it. T. Brinker-April 2015 ~ Glen Ellyn, IL USA
My son and I decided to avoid the cruise ship excursions for snorkeling and try Pal Mar Estate Beach Club. I read a number of reviews and figured it was worth a shot. We have gone on 4 cruises now and always done the cruise line sponsored excursions and without a hesitation this is by far the best thing we have done. Pal Mar was nice, clean, very quiet and the staff was beyond awesome. One of the most relaxing times we have had. The Pico de Gallo was fresh and hand made and fantastic....my son wont touch tomatoes and such and he ate it all up...wonderful! The snorkeling was a lot of fun and we saw tons of fish, starfish, coral, etc. and even a Moray eel. Very cool and spooky too to be honest. We had a blast and would do it again in a heartbeat. With cab fare both ways, Pal Mar admission, 4 beers for me and two sodas for my son along with chips and Pico we spent only 65$. We snorkeled for almost 4 hours....exhausted but a blast! We must have seen at least 8 excursion trips come through the area we were at and they are there maybe 45 min to an hour and gone. It would have cost us 3 times what we paid to do the ship excursion and we got to relax and snorkel all day. Can't recommend it enough and we will definitely be back when our next cruise stops in Cozumel. Thank you so much for your hospitality!! M. Schomaker-Feb. 2015 ~ Elk River, MN USA
Hey there! We spent the day at your place last week with our new friends, Wendy and Randall and had the best day we have ever had in Cozumel. The service, beauty and snorkeling could not have been better. A special thanks to Juan who did us a huge favor! We will be back! Thank you so much for everything! LITTLE PARADISE - We arranged a package tour for our large group (14 people) that included an afternoon here (it might have been through the proprietor). Next to a large hotel and a large bar, this is a quiet little oasis. A beautiful pool and shady gardens, with lots of seating are right across the street from the sea. Drinks, delicious food (great guacamole) and very helpful and friendly service. The people were extremely nice helping us into the sea to snorkel. There really isn't a beach here, it is very rocky, so they put out mats to make it easier for us to walk into the water. They stood by and helped us in and out, they even practically carried my 86 year old grandmother in, out, and brought a chair down for her to sit in. Snorkel, mask and flipper rentals are $12 (other places were quoted at $40+). There are some lounge chairs on a sandy area overlooking the sea so those who weren't snorkeling could sit comfortably and watch. The snorkeling was great, lots of sea creatures to admire. Free Wi-Fi. Since it is a small place, none of the cab drivers at the port (we were getting off a cruise ship) knew where it was. Ask for The Money Club and it is just before it, right next door. J. I am from Quebec and we reserved thru this website. We spent a day there during a cruise stop to Cozumel in March 2016. Taxi ride was short, not expensive and not complicated (if you follow Web instructions) and our experience of PalMar and it's staff was fantastic (no risk, you can trust them). Everything was exactly as written in the Web (including great meal). Water of the pool was warm and clean. For snorkeling, it was the best experience of my life (and I visited full of places in the world whose Turquoise Islands, St. Martin, Cuba, Jamaica, Cayman Islands, St. John, Culebra in Puerto Rico and elsewhere in Mexico) all just a few feet distance from the beach! Go there without hesitation!!! We met owner (Sherri) who was very welcoming. I would visit there again without hesitation. E. Levesque - March 2016 ~ Laval, Quebec, CAN
