Then we invite you to join us and our staff at PalMar Snorkel Beach Club, located in the Dzul Ha Reef, for a nice, quiet and relaxing day in Cozumel. These days it seems like every beach club in Cozumel is so packed with tourists that visitors are often wanting and searching for a less crowded alternative. If you prefer a less chaotic and more personalized environment when visiting Cozumel, then our quiet and quaint PalMar Snorkel Beach Club will be the perfect spot for you and your group to come spend the day! Inside our walls you will find a freshwater swimming pool (great for novice snorkelers to practice their snorkeling techniques) with jetted spa area, showers, rinse tanks, restrooms and lockers as well as snorkel equipment gear (mask, snorkel and fins) and vests for rent. Surrounding the pool and jetted spa (not heated) area is a large decked area with plenty of loungers, chairs and tables for your relaxation pleasure! The grounds inside feature both sunlit areas to soak up our "Caribbean Paradise" rays and also natural shady areas from the numerous trees for those needing to cool off from the sun..
You will also find our friendly and helpful staff ready to provide you and your group everything you need to make your stay at PalMar Snorkel Beach Club a wonderful experience. You will find a quaint snack bar area where you will be able to purchase tasty freshly made-to-order snacks (guacamole, pico de gallo, ceviche, quesadillas, etc.) and a nice selection of beverages (bottled water, soda, beer and a selection of tropical mixed drinks). PalMar's Beach and Ocean area is just a few steps outside our gates where you will see our beach area surrounded by a retaining wall filled with sand, palm trees, potted plants, loungers, tables and chairs for any guests that prefer a waterfront, beachside day in paradise There are no crazy jet skis buzzing around constantly nor massive water mountains to scale out front at PalMar Snorkel Beach Club. Instead, we invite you to enjoy a relaxing day lounging on our beach under our palm trees! If you want to snorkel and swim in our world famous Dzul Ha Reef, you will find an abundance of incredible coral reefs, colorful fish and marine life here at PalMar! Sherri - Thank you so much for allowing us to use the Palmar Small Beach club. The staff were fantastic. They took very good care of us. The fresh pico was perfect. The grounds were very clean and beautiful. And no hassling salesmen anywhere. We plan on coming there again on our next visit to Cozumel. Thanks again - The Hamiltons G. & A. Our family of four had several hours at Cozumel as part of our Carnival cruise. We wanted a place to snorkel and enjoy the oceanfront, but without the crowds. After our planned morning excursion, we caught a taxi to Palmar and only a few minutes drive from the cruise port. We expected some people to be there, given the cruise traffic, but it was only us and an older couple. My kids immediately took advantage of the pool, and we got a locker and were given snorkel gear and drink tickets (to turn in for beverages). The staff was courteous, friendly and helpful. It is a residence, but the house is on the back of the property, and the "clubhouse", pool, changing area and lockers are closer to the road. The cordoned off beach area is across the road and where we spent the majority of our time, sitting under the palm trees, enjoying the view mixed with some decent snorkeling (the location provides direct access to Chankanaab National Park, and snorkel boats were dropping off customers in the same areas you can swim out to from shore). We ordered ceviche (delicious!), and they brought it out to us, oceanfront. We all felt this was a great place to hang out away from the crowds of tourists, and it was a good value. Don't come expecting an Americanized sports bar playing loud English, and dozens of young people drinking as much as they can. You're not going to get that here. If you're looking for a quiet and peaceful oasis, this is a nice, convenient place to consider. Tim M. - July 2017 ~ Raleigh, NC USA
A great perk for guests who stay at IslaMar Vacation Villas is access to the PalMar Beach Club. Beaches aren't great in Cozumel, but the snorkeling and diving are fantastic, even snorkeling from shore. So while there are a number of access locations to the water in the area, there are very few places that offer a sandy spot to sit with beach chairs and umbrellas. And the few that do exist are pretty crowded. That's where the PalMar beach club really shines. It's located about 6 or 7 km from the apartment, a nice and easy bike ride away and there's all the amenities you could want. Beverages and snacks across the road from the sandy beach front where tables, chairs and loungers are available, and then you can have a leisurely swim and snorkel right there. We've been snorkeling in several locations in the Caribbean, but nothing even comes close to this. I doubt you'd have a better experience on a boat excursion out to deeper waters. Sherri is a wonderful hostess, and her staff are extremely friendly and helpful. They were available to answer questions and help, yet we felt completely free and comfortable and never felt crowded or surveilled. Our experience was fantastic and a great alternative the usual hotel/resort/cruise ship arrangement. Penny & Guilio S. - March 2016 ~ Toronto, Ontario CAN
If you want the best beach entry snorkel experience, you have to come out to PalMar Beach Club for the day. We came out on Wednesday, 12/02/2015 and not only saw thousands of Brightly Colored fish (yet to be identified), 2 rays, an octopus, and a sturgeon. Don't miss the Beautiful Purple Sea Fan Forest just to the right of the beach entry. But the best find of the day was a Moray eel who was nice enough to smile for the camera :) The staff made us feel like family and the food was delicious. If I had known how GREAT a snorkeling spot this was I would have booked a spot for 2 straight days......Definitely Next Time!!! Nick & Tori - December 2015 ~ Frisco, TX USA
(12/03/2018) - By chance had the entire place to ourselves. Staff made us feel like family, gave us good snorkel tips. The area in which you can snorkel is extensive, pleasantly surprised. Great place to escape the typical Cozumel tourist type stuff. A. Olarte - Google Maps Review ~ Unknown
