Avoid the mobs of the other big cruiser beaches and join the staff of PalMar SMALL Snorkel Beach Club for a nice, quiet relaxing day on the beach in Cozumel. Seems like every beach in Cozumel is over populated these days and folks are looking for less crowded alternatives. If this is how you feel in Cozumel, then our quiet, intimate PalMar SMALL Snorkel Beach Club just might be the place for you or your group.
Since it sits in front of a 10,000 sq. ft. private beachside residence, PalMar is more of a home style experience. There are no jet skis buzzing or water mountains to scale out front at PalMar. Instead, guest will simply enjoy incredible snorkeling and swimming right in the heart of Dzul Ha ~ Cozumel's premier beach entry snorkel spot on the island.
Completely enclosed with walls/gates on all sides, PalMar can and does limit the number of guests inside to 50 at any given time so as to ensure a quality experience for everyone. Aside from the amazing shore snorkeling just in front, Palmar has a fresh water pool and spa area, showers, restrooms and lockers as well as a snack bar and beverages and snorkel equipment rental.
To ensure you have the best possible experience, PalMar does require a Reservation & Deposit in Advance (1 Week Advance Notice)! Do not miss this beautiful, quiet beach and a day relaxing under the palms in Cozumel! Please submit your reservation request promptly to enjoy our little slice of paradise!
I considered your advice to drop by & remembered reading that most public beaches get really crowded if there are a lot of cruise ships in port. There were 7 ships in Cozumel on Saturday & I was prepared, got off the ship first thing at 9 with husband and snorkel gear in tow & inquired about taxi rates. I was a little apprehensive when the taxi organizer didn't know where Palmar was but I had your directions & coupon printed out so I told them it was between the two hotels and mentioned the beach name & all was well. I then realized it was a blessing for them not to know where I was going - that had to mean it wouldn't be too popular/crowded!
I believe we met your husband Mauricio? He was very nice and made us feel very comfortable, showed us to a locker and we were off across the street. A bit hard to get in the water with all the rocks (this is what makes the water so clear!) but it was beautiful & shallow snorkeling with lots of neat corral - and 2 different 2 ft. barracudas guarded the shore.
When we came back we ordered guacamole and chips as well as a mango and pina colada daiquiri. It was obvious it was all just prepared and really fresh - best guacamole I've ever had, the chips were fresh, and the shakes were delicious. In summary, your location was beautiful, thank you for opening your home as a beach club so we could get away from the crowds, we felt so special! Mauricio was as good a host as he was a chef! We'll definitely be recommending Palmar! G. Nielsen ~ Cruise Passenger
Just finished cruise to Cozumel 5/23/2015. I had looked at info about PalMar Estate before going but did not make decision to go until the day our ship ported in Cozumel. I was with a small group of 4 and it was hard to communicate with my group prior to the trip. We went downtown first and when that got old real quick, I reminded the group of this location. It was still hard to get approval by everyone. I finally said, "we are taking a chance and going". We got a taxi (the taxi drivers act like they have never heard of it, but we took the information from this site which includes directions). We are so glad we went, it was the highlight of our cruise. The bathroom was clean, the employees were so accommodating, it was away from tourist crowds and the snorkeling was terrific. Only $13 (which includes a couple of beers) each to use their facility and beach. Enrique was an employee there who made us the best Pico de Gallo and guacamole I have ever had and served us on the beach. He was so sweet, we would have put him in our pocket and taken him back to Texas with us if we could. We would go there again definitely! G. Coldwell-May 2015 ~ Dallas, TX USA
Sherri: wanted to let you know what a great time we had at your resort. It was exactly what I was hoping for!
The personal attention was wonderful, as both you and your staff were so friendly and helpful, and we were warmly welcomed as if we were "old" friends. The quaintness of the private home and the nice beach were great, and the fish we saw while snorkeling off your beach were better than the ones we saw during an expensive excursion booked thru the cruise ship in Belize!
I will definitely recommend your website to others, and I've already told many friends about the Palmar Beach Club. Thank you again for a wonderful time in Cozumel and I wish you all the best in your endeavors. Cathy, Peter and the boys ~ Rochester Hills, MI USA
Sherri - Thank you so much for allowing us to use the Palmar Small Beach club. The staff were fantastic. They took very good care of us. The fresh pico was perfect. The grounds were very clean and beautiful. And no hassling salesmen anywhere. We plan on coming there again on our next visit to Cozumel. Thanks again - The Hamiltons G. & A. Sherri, We just returned after a great cruise on the Carnival Holiday. We took a taxi from the cruise pier to Palmar Estate Beach Club and spent about 1/2 a day at your beautiful place. We toured the butterfly sanctuary with your wonderful guide who was informative and very gracious. I also spent quite a bit of time talking to Juan and he was delightful. We relaxed, ate chips and salsa, drank pina coladas and soaked in the sun. What a delightful place you have and a wonderful staff that made our visit great. Thanks and if we get a chance to recommend your place to others we will surely do that.
PS: Your website warned us that the taxi drivers may not be too helpful when asked to go to Palmar Estates and you were correct. After asking 3 drivers who all sort of turned up their noses at us and acted like they had never heard of your place or the butterfly sanctuary we found one that would listen. I told him it was between Hotel Presidente & Fiesta Americana and he said OK. Anyway we got there in only about 6-8 minutes from the pier. Dale and Cathy Carlson ~ Louisville, KY USA
