This is the most commonly published street map of Cozumel today but
it is far from completely accurate. Be aware that due to recent growth,
the city streets now go all the way back to 150 Avenida.
- Calles (streets) run east/west or perpendicular to the sea. If
you are driving east/west you must stop at every block corner.
- The Avenidas (Avenues) run north/south beginning at the beachfront
and run parallel to the sea. Avenidas are numbered in increments
of 5 all the way up to 150 now. If you are driving north/south, in
theory, you have the right of way and don't have to stop at each
block corner.
Beware . there are exceptions to these guidelines but this gives an overview
of the initial city plan.
- The plaza and Juarez Street are considered
the center of town.
- Avenidas and Calles north of these will be referred to as Norte and
have even numbers of 2, 4, 6, etc.
- Avenidas and Calles south of these will be referred to as Sur and have
odd numbers of 1, 3, 5, etc.

We cannot begin to express our thanks to Sherri and the staff at IslaMar Villas for our wonderful 11-night stay. This was our third time staying at IslaMar Villas and for us it's the only place to stay in Cozumel. It has truly become our home away from home. We love the apartments, the courtyard and pool, and the warm and friendly neighborhood.
We also used "COZUMELINSIDER" to book our car rental with Avis. It went very smoothly and you guys also helped us trade in our little Chevy Pop for something a little bigger.
A big THANK YOU to Sherri for introducing us to a wonderful private driver on the mainland and for arranging our excursion to Playa del Carmen, Tulum, and Akumal. We were so happy that we decided to finally venture off the island and go to the mainland to see the ruins. The driver Sherri arranged for us was extremely friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we saw things we wouldn't have even known about had we taken the car ferry and driven on our own. To anyone looking for a private tour of places on the mainland, we highly recommend asking Sherri to arrange it for you. It was well worth it!

Sherri, my boss wants you to take down your webcam! It seems it is preventing me from getting any work done! I just stare at it all day. haha I will be there in two weeks. I just wanted to let you know we really enjoyed our experience with the turtle salvation program this week. It was an amazing evening I will never forget. I will be sure to share the info with my local dive shops and SCUBA club when I return. I know that many others would love to participate and support the turtles. Sherri, I was browsing Cozumel Websites the last few days. I came across yours. I have never found a website so detailed to a destination in my life! You supply all the information a traveler could ever want!
You give us how to get there, what to do while we are there, where to stay, how to travel, what to do if we get sick, where to eat, and it just goes on and on!
Thank you for taking the time that you spent in making this my new favorite site!

Hey ~ I just wanted to follow up and say what a great time we had swimming with the whale sharks. I also wanted to commend our tour guide Cesar. He was very knowledgeable of the people, the land, the culture, and the history. I would highly recommend him to anybody wanting to tour Mexico.
