Alternatives to Scuba & Snorkeling |
 |
Tired of just simple snorkeling and want to get closer to the action? Take a look at some of these alternatives -
Snuba is a shallow-water diving system developed to bridge the gap between snorkeling and scuba diving. There is no safer, easier or more enjoyable way to experience the thrill and wonder of breathing underwater. No heavy, bulky or complicated diving equipment is used and no intensive training or certification is required. The truth is that if you are healthy and can breathe, you meet the requirements to Snuba! Divers breathe using a standard diving regulator which is connected by a 20-foot air line to a tank that floats at the surface in a specially designed raft. As you move underwater, the raft follows you, allowing you to dive to a maximum depth of 20 feet. Because there is no complicated, heavy diving gear involved, you are in full control, free to explore the incredible reefs – relaxed and hassle free.
Sea Trek Helmet Diving is the easiest and most comfortable way to explore underwater. It's as simple as walking and breathing. A space age helmet sits comfortably on the your shoulders while a continuous flow of air provides breathing with ease. Your hair doesn't get wet and you can even wear prescription glasses. The maximum depth is approximately 20 feet. A sea Trek guide wears a helmet while and divers in scuba gear remain with the group.
The 48 passenger Atlantis XII Submarine offers you a chance to experience why Cozumel remains one of the top dive destinations in the world. Diving to depths of up to 100 feet, Atlantis brings you up close and personal with Cozumel's top attraction, Chankanaab, an exciting part of the second largest reef in the world. |

My husband and I spent the day @ Paradise Beach; we were on a RCCL cruise. EVERYTHING about this beach is fabulous! The sand, water, food, SPOTLESS bathrooms, FREE beach chairs, and rock climbing wall in the water were perfect! Don't even CONSIDER spending the day anywhere else when in Cozumel. We definitely WILL be back! B. Miller ~ USA

March, 2007- Wanted to report back about our excursions you booked for us. We loved the submarine tour. Being able to go down 100' was incredibly exciting! We saw a turtle and a few large groupers. The reefs were really beautiful, so glad we did this. Jennifer Lansing ~ Palo Verdes Estate, California

My husband and I recently visited Paradise Beach. WOW! What a wonderful experience ... from the beautiful grounds to the courteous workers to the fun water toys to the hammocks! Hope to come back on our next cruise to Cozumel! We have recommended it already to lots and lots of people. THANKS for making that day the most memorable of the whole cruise!! C. I was just at Paradise Beach. It was wonderful! Safe, clean, easy to get to from the cruise ship and good prices on food. We felt very welcome. I had three 18 year olds and a 15 year old. I saw many families with young children as well. A good time was had by all! The kids all had funny stories about trying to climb the iceberg! M. Johnson ~ Indiana, USA

We took advantage of the Sea Trek Helmet Dive on December 18, 2006 and it was outstanding! It is a short 5 minute walk from our ship "Ectasy" and we saved $30.00 per person by using Cozumel Insider over the price offered on Carnival. I would recommend this activity to other cruisers. Thank you INSIDER! Rod and Laura ~ Albuquerque/NM/USA
