Alternatives to Scuba & Snorkeling |
|
Tired of just simple snorkeling and want to get closer to the action? Take a look at some of these alternatives -
Snuba is a shallow-water diving system developed to bridge the gap between snorkeling and scuba diving. There is no safer, easier or more enjoyable way to experience the thrill and wonder of breathing underwater. No heavy, bulky or complicated diving equipment is used and no intensive training or certification is required. The truth is that if you are healthy and can breathe, you meet the requirements to Snuba! Divers breathe using a standard diving regulator which is connected by a 20-foot air line to a tank that floats at the surface in a specially designed raft. As you move underwater, the raft follows you, allowing you to dive to a maximum depth of 20 feet. Because there is no complicated, heavy diving gear involved, you are in full control, free to explore the incredible reefs – relaxed and hassle free.
Sea Trek Helmet Diving is the easiest and most comfortable way to explore underwater. It's as simple as walking and breathing. A space age helmet sits comfortably on the your shoulders while a continuous flow of air provides breathing with ease. Your hair doesn't get wet and you can even wear prescription glasses. The maximum depth is approximately 20 feet. A sea Trek guide wears a helmet while and divers in scuba gear remain with the group.
The 48 passenger Atlantis XII Submarine offers you a chance to experience why Cozumel remains one of the top dive destinations in the world. Diving to depths of up to 100 feet, Atlantis brings you up close and personal with Cozumel's top attraction, Chankanaab, an exciting part of the second largest reef in the world. |
Hi Martin! Everything went flawlessly and Israel was a great guide and host. We had a great day. Thank you very much. C. Kemnitz - February 2016 ~ Hartland, WI USA

What a great Experience!!! We booked our excursions through this website with a slight bit of apprehension. We figured it would be safer to book through our cruise ship since this was our first time going to Cozumel. Boy am I so thankful we didn't. Our cruise ship (which we thoroughly enjoyed) had many excursions organized with tons of people in each excursion. By booking through Cozumel Insider we were definitely given smaller groups to be with. We did the Atlantis Submarine excursion that we booked and payed literally HALF for BOTH my wife and I as to what was offered on our Carnival Cruise ship. Next year we will definitely book through Cozumelinsider, we will recommend this company to all our friends. Dr. Marvin Carson ~ Tullahoma, Tennessee

Hey Martin - Just to let you know, we had a good time on Cozumel and Israel was a great guide. He was energetic without being over the top, friendly without trying to be the best friend we have ever had, and guided us the whole time without any pushiness. He shared enough about life on the island for us to feel like he was really answering our questions and not parroting a standard spiel. I also liked he made an effort to keep us safe! He went out with us on the snorkel and kept an eye on everyone, especially our kids, and was careful about traffic, parking, and getting in and out of the van. Thanks for your help! G. If you are visiting the Cozumel area you have to go on a Mayan Paradise Tour. Our Snuba and snorkelling adventure was the highlight of our week in Cozumel. We saw more fish and beautiful coral then we saw on our visit to the Great Barrier Reef. Our guides were terrific - very thorough, fun and energetic. Our trip back to the dock was a blast. We recommend this dventure to anyone vacationing the Cozumel area. Bryan and Jennifer ~ Ontario Canada
