It is so safe and comfortable. Love all the people. Love the ocean, love the house, love the food and most of all, love Sherri, Jacqueline and Zuri. Zuri is so much fun. We tried to teach each other a lot of new words! Love the cats and Ron has made friends with all the dogs. We bring them K.C. treats! See you next year! Ron & Lynda R. ~ Kansas City, MO

Stay (01/07/2012) - Home away from home! The wi-fi kept us in touch with home, but the quiet villa was a great place to rest after walking in town. The people here in Cozumel have been so nice! Only negative with a taxi driver and we met many more very nice and honest ones. Our two (2) weeks here were memories we will cherish. Maybe next time will be able to snorkel or dive. Johnís stroke slowed him a bit, but will tell our friends about IslaMar! Muchos Gracias Miguel, Zuri & Sherri! John & Sande L. ~ Rapid City, SD

We were here with my sister, brother-in-law and their girls. We had a wonderful time and made lots of good memories! It was especially nice to be with the local people who were perfect hosts and hostesses. We hope to be back with more of our family. La Choza Ė great sauce and food!!! Mickey & Holly R. ~ Sherman, IL

Stay (04/21/2012) - The most relaxing and enjoyable vacation we have had in many years! It was truly an amazing way to spend our 25th anniversary! Thank for the champagne! The experience of living amongst the locals (at first intimidating) became very natural, very quickly. The local food was awesome and the people were as friendly as my own neighbors at home. Miguel & Zuri were wonderful! Right there when you needed them. I will never forget Zuriís smile and our Spanish lessons and no, there is not a monkey in our refrigerator! :-) I have been inspired to learn Spanish so when we return, we will be able to communicate much better! Sherri, it was a pleasure to see you again Ė welcome home! This will be a memory imbedded in our hearts as well as in our minds! Thanks for making us feel like part of the crew! Lisa & Jeff S. ~ Southampton, MA

(01/02/2016) - IslaMar is a great place set back from the beachfront and big resorts. It is living in Mexico, if you get my drift. IslaMar is back perhaps 6 or 7 blocks from the resorts. We wanted something different this time. I loved being back with the local vibe. There are restaurants with amazing food back here. You walk to them. We walked at night through the narrow streets and visited with the friendly people. We felt safe. I'm not telling you what to do, I'm just telling you what we did. We also rented a small car and went to the beach every day. We found our dollars went a long ways in the grocery store. No place is too far away on Cozumel. Christmas Night we wandered into a park with an amphitheater. There was a clown performing. There were perhaps 200 locals there and we saw one other gringo. I loved being there and watching these beautiful people. They all seemed glad to see us. Is it for everybody? Probly not. There is a nice little clean pool, but nobody is going to bring you a margarita. If you have a hankering for fries at midnight, not going to happen. If you are set on a resort, this is not your place. But If you want to stay in a beautiful affordable villa with super cleaning and other services and run by great folks in the middle of town, you should try this. I love it and can't wait to go back!
