Just beyond the front porch, there is a garden, lawnchairs, a pool/spa, dive gear rinse tank and hammocks to enjoy. Stay (04/18/2012) - After twelve (12) years of staying at the Villas, they are still the perfect place to call home! We are away from the madness of the cruise ships and centrally located to restaurants and activities. The updating is beautiful and the pool is wonderful. Our next trip will be in May 2013. We are looking forward to it! Zuri and Miguel are wonderful! Warren & Glenda S. ~ Houston, TX

Stay (02/02/2012) - We loved our Casa IslaMar, loved the location, especially once we got our car. It was great to walk to the market, pick out a fish, have it fileted and cook it with all the wonderful fresh vegetables available here. All at a BIG savings over eating out. The screened windows, bottled water and cheerful help from Zuri are all nice additions! We will recommend IslaMar with enthusiasm. Travel Blog @ www.travelswithcjgeo.blogspot.com. Stay (02/22/2013) - We have had a great time! We are set to leave and thankful to have met the many people here. We try to stay away from the resorts so we can learn about the community and the people who make the area. IslaMar does that for us! We didn’t get to spend much time by the pool and enjoying the beautiful grounds since our days were spent on the water or under the water, but again, thank you for a clean, safe place to come home to every night. Ed & Kari F. ~ Kent, WA

Stay (03/06/2012) - Our first time at IslaMar and we enjoyed it very much! Loved having a home base that felt like home and we loved the fact that we were away from the cruise ship crowds. Midtown people and places to eat were wonderful. Our new favorite is Pescada Carllito’s. Great food at a great price. Please feel free to add a few new chaise lounges to the pool area as we are hoping to be back soon and with enough sunny days to enjoy the pool more. Thank you for the use of the cooler as we had a nice picnic outside of Playa Bonita. Gracias and adios – for now! Scott & Kathy R. ~ West, TX

(08/09/2014) - Found IslaMar on VRBO while looking for a place to stay for 3 weeks. Was very pleased to find the property was just as advertised. The staff was waiting for me on my arrival at the front door. The pool area is incredible and I enjoyed it very much during my time there. Hummingbirds frequently seen, and there is a local bakery close by, so the smell of fretted baked bread was often tempting me while at the pool. Sherri gave me the one bedroom condo upstairs and it again, was just as advertised. I found everything I needed and including the small touches such as the hammock. The apartment was immaculate! If there was anything missing, Zuri was there to help.

This is living "local style" which is what I was looking for, away from the tourist areas. I spent time walking about the area and did not have any problems whatsoever. It is about a 10-15 minute walk to the main tourist area. Taxis, if needed, are plentiful, affordable, and reliable. There are small, local places to eat close to IslaMar where the food is very good, and affordable. Sherri has a helpful guide book detailing all the good restaurants broken down by location and price. I was very pleased with the choice of Cozumel and IslaMar. Sherri, I will be back !
