A Personal Note from Sherri "Bring on Summer!!"
Sherri Davis - Owner/Operator CozumelInsiderI know I sound like a broken record at times but as school is quickly coming to an end and summer is just around the corner, itís time to get busy planning that vacation to get the good airfares for everyone in the family!

Here on the website, we talk with dozens of families each week asking us questions about Cozumel hotels and activities yet the statement we hear most frequently is "I wish I had started searching earlier for airfares!" It's not that you're going to spend LESS on your vacation, but the more money you save on airfare, the more is left over to take that extra excursion or visit that great restaurant you've heard about! And goodness knows we are blessed with so much for visitors to enjoy here in this tropical island paradise called Cozumel!

So please ~ do your wallet a favor and begin looking for some airfares now so you can squish sand between your toes and down a couple of margaritas here with us in Cozumel this summer!

As for Mauricio and I, it will be a very busy Summer! Our PalMar Beach Club has just increased 10 fold to almost 300 linear yards of the best snorkeling beach on the island! It has been a 3 year labor of love acquiring this beach concession so this summer we will be doing restoration, conservation and preparing it for usage for the coming season. It's a SUPER exciting time for us!!

On top of that project, we're also setting up our beach club down in Mahahual or "Costa Maya" as many cruise ship travelers have come to know it by that name. Hopefully by the high season, you will be able to spend the day with us snorkeling at PalMar Beach and then as your ship ports in Costa Maya, you can join us there for a day of beautiful snorkeling as well!

At IslaMar Villas, we're updating and freshening things up for the coming season and doing projects to prepare for the tropical storm season which we HOPE will not be too active this year! It's making me tired just thinking about it all! That being said, they say that when you do what you love for a living, it really doesn't seem like work at all. I can tell you no truer words have ever been spoken! Awakening every day in this tropical island paradise of Cozumel to the crystal blue and turquoise waters outside and swaying palm trees overhead makes everything being done seem like goofing off! LOL!

So let me go "goof off" some more around here while YOU get busy planning a Summer trip to this island paradise for your family!
Hope to see you soon here at the beach!

My family and I have returned to Cozumel many times - it's a favorite destination and we have watched it change over the past 20 years. The Cozumel Insider is a great publication - it's a wonderful way to keep up with the news about one of our favorite islands. We are preparing to visit again this August and the Insider has shown us some different activities to try, as well as helped to bring us up to date with local political and ecological happenings. We're delighted to see the interest in wildlife conservation throughout the area. Keep up the good work on this terrific site. D. McClean ~ unknown

I want to take a moment to thank you at COZUMELINSIDER for all of your help. This is the first time I have ever booked activities such as these online and was very nervous about how it all worked. You took the time to answer all of my questions and even followed upwith a phone call to make sure you had all the information you needed to book the perfect vacation fun for my family. Thanks so much for making this a great experience! I can hardly wait to get there and enjoy all of these wonderful things! S. Daggett ~ Woodland Park, CO

Sherri and her staff did everything under the sun to help us get on one of their shore excursions. Phone calls and emails were promptly acknowledged and answered cheerfully and professionally. These are "home" folks; no need to worry about language or accents getting in the way of success. Book with confidence, and have fun! J Meyers ~ San Antonio, Texas

i've been on your site for the last week just checking everything out i'm telling you that you have the best site for learning about cozumel to all the execursions that are offered. also the information about how to get to the hotel from the airport with the cost about the ferry to every question that a person like myself would have that is planning on travelling to your beautiful country we are planning on retiring there. our family and myself will be arriving in Cancun and then going on to Cozumel. we will be staying at the reef and then park royal but i printed out coupons and all the info about the ferry, the ado bus and all the execursions we want to do . i'm lucky because i speak the language and i love to talk to people i would love to also get the pleasure of meeting with you which i'm sure i will since we plan on doing alot of your execursions. thank you for this beautiful site i enjoyed every minute i spend on it i look forward to hearing back from you! Sherri...thank you again so very much for your fantastic website and for your excellent stories on life in Cozumel. We fellow Texans that are not fortunate enough to actually live there are able to do it through you and we are all extremely grateful...and incredibly envious! Having been an airline employee until retirement I have been lucky to have been down island over 20 times and it NEVER gets old. I thought I knew all about Cozumel, but was delighted to learn of new things and places through you and your website. Your current posting of how you came to Cozumel was so cool. You really need to work on that book! Congrats on this milestone, and continued luck and success in all you do. See you in September for our annual trip down for my birthday and Mexican Independence Day. M. Goodwin ~ Dallas, Texas
