A Personal Note from Sherri "Lovely Swallows of Low Season" Well from my standpoint, Spring Break and April were just a big blur as we have been super busy and the weather has been absolutely fantastic here on the island! The Spring rains have not yet begun and it’s not been too terribly hot yet either so in between villa guests and beach visitors we’ve been able to get a good many projects completed. Here at the beach, we’re finishing up all of our Spring cleaning now and doing our pre-hurricane season prep work so I’m about to kick back and chug some champagne from my balcony in celebration of another close to a wonderful high season! I know…I should support the local economy and drink Mexican beer but sometimes it’s just not a beer day!
You know lots of folks are here in the winter months and for obvious reasons ~ it’s a great time to be in Cozumel so as to escape the cold weather. But many are sort of “put off” by the sheer volume of tourists we have now on the island during high season. If that applies to you, then I urge you to consider planning a trip to Cozumel during one of our beautiful “off season” months. As an example, this month of May the number of cruise ships arriving to the island is only one third of the high season volume so it’s as if there’s literally no one here! It may be too late to plan a quick Mother’s Day getaway but you still have time to make it for Memorial Day! Give it a try ~ you might be surprised at how the slower, laid back pace of “low season” appeals to you!
While you consider that vacation option, I’ll leave you with this video of a wonderful sighting of Cozumel Swallows that I had last week. Seems you can change the name of the island to “Island Of Peace” or “Home Port” or whatever to try to be “trendy” or gain more tourism but really the Maya got it right the first time. Cozumel is…and always will be… the Island of Swallows and wow ~ how incredibly lovely they are!
My wife and I are so pleased to have discovered your site. We fell in love with Cozumel the first time we visited. Our plans are to retire in Cozumel, your site will help us to grow in our knowledge of the island and hopefully begin our journey of protecting the islands unique heritage. Sherri, I was browsing Cozumel Websites the last few days. I came across yours. I have never found a website so detailed to a destination in my life! You supply all the information a traveler could ever want!
You give us how to get there, what to do while we are there, where to stay, how to travel, what to do if we get sick, where to eat, and it just goes on and on!

You ladies (at COZUMELINSIDER) are the best ---- will write more when it doesnt costs 75 cents per minute --like it does on the ship. Our driver, humbuerto was awesome ! seak trek thing was the coolest thing in the world ---- we LOVED it --- we bought the cd-rom --- we are such tourists !!!!!!!!!!! i'm a tv reporter and the guy who shot the underwater video is a good photographer ---- had some really neat shots ----- i'm a sucker for videos -------- did not really want to snorkel with mario --- those guy were really sweet ---- will talk more when at home --- just wanted you to know ASAP-- highly impressed with your service ----- wish i knew a milllion people to recommend to you !! A big thanks to COZUMELINSIDER for all your help booking my two trips! The Eagle Ray 3 reef snorkel was fantastic! It was a small group tour of 8 people with very very great personal service. I highly recommend this tour to all. My other tour was a tour of a lifetime, the Whale shark tour with Gamma Experience It was really something being in the water with a 50-60 foot whale shark! A couple restaurants I highly recommend are La lobsteria and especially Tony Romes. I highly recommend Cozumelinsider to all in booking tours as they picked great small tour groups for me!
