 The number of hotels in Cozumel has grown over the years and now there are easily more than 30 operations sporting the classification of "hotel." At present, there are a few new hotel projects in the planning phase but only time will tell as to whether these endeavors will actually break ground or not.
However, as Cozumel's accommodations industry continues to grow and develop, new providers come on the scene by acquiring existing facilities, remodelling and catering to various niche markets of travellers. For example Wyndam (formerly Reef Club) now has several different small hotels (the Aura, the Residences,etc.) within their large facility each of which caters to a particular type of traveler.
But whatever type of hotel or resort vacationers seek, it is certain travelers can find a place to be comfortable in Cozumel.
