A Personal Note from Sherri "The Fizz Factor"
There may be a lot of you out there who don’t know this but just to set the record straight: for years and years Coca Cola was packaged in a glass bottle and sealed with a metal cap. This is probably because these were the most readily available materials back in the early 1900’s but it turns out that this method also helps maintain the maximum “fizz” in the drink. Over the years, with the invention of new packaging/distribution methods in the USA, finding a Coke in a glass bottle has become a challenge. Now, it seems aluminum cans and plastic bottles and fountain mixes are the norm and frankly, Coca Cola is worse off for it. For whatever reason, these new ways of packaging and perhaps the jostling in distribution cause a significant reduction in product quality (i.e. the fizz factor).
So what does this have to do with Cozumel? Well, as luck would have it, up until very recently every Coke in Cozumel was bottled in glass and sealed with a metal cap. As a result, the “fizz power” of a bottled Coke from Cozumel could literally make one’s nose burn! Of course over the past couple of years aluminum cans and plastic bottles have begun to filter into the island and I’m sure in time the glass Coke bottle will also become extinct here like it did in the USA so many years ago. But until then, everyone who visits the island should take the opportunity to try a Coke bottled in glass. Then compare it to the taste of a Coke from an aluminum can or plastic bottle and you will understand fully the quality compromises we’ve all accepted in products over the years just to get what we want exactly when and where we want it.
Even though I have never been a huge soft drink fan, in my opinion, there is simply nothing better on the planet than an ice cold Coke ~ from a bottle here in Cozumel. So do yourself a favor and find one next time you’re here. It’s one thing to meet up with folks and have a few beers and some fun. But when I say to someone “Let’s go grab a Coke” ~ it’s like sharing a bit of island nostalgia ~ while it still exists!

I am very happy that Josefina was my teacher. She tailored my Spanish classes specifically to my needs and to my level of knowledge. She made the lessons fun and informative and I have been able to begin speaking and understanding simple conversation after only 3 classes! March 2007 Leah Rensfelt ~ Canada

Hello, I want to let you know that I visit your website all the time! I love it, so much information. I used you as a resource when I came to Cozumel for the first time about 2 years ago. Although my soon-to-be wife was there before, I needed to do some of my own homework. As for her, she and I will be getting married on June 22 at Hotel Cozumel and we are both really excited about it. I am so happy that you are able to put this website together for people like us who love Cozumel and can't be there as much as we want to be. Thanks again! John DeMaio ~ Milford, CT, USA

Just wanted to thank COZUMELINSIDER for getting us booked for our activities while we were in Cozumel. The dolphin swim was fantastic! I'd do it again in a minute. We didn't get to do the SNUBA diving ..... we ended up doing the Helmet dive instead for the same price. We plan on visiting Cozumel again possibly next year and will be contacting you to book some excursions prior to our vacation. We saved a significant amount of money booking the excursions through COZUMELINSIDER instead of the cruise line. Thanks again! S.Forgette and G Wichtowski ~ Not Given

I will DEFINITELY recommend your website COZUMELINSIDER to anybody who will listen. thanks again! F. Escobar ~ not given
